ABOUT THE ALABAMA FORGE COUNCIL





We are a non-profit organization that promotes the knowledge of Blacksmithing skills and works to promote the continued re-discovery of the art of Blacksmithing. We are a dynamic group of over 400 professional, amateur and beginning smiths. The AFC is comprised of multiple separate Forge groups with monthly meetings and two annual conferences. We offer scholarships, maintain a library of videotapes and our newsletter, The Bituminous Bits, it is one of the best sources of blacksmithing information you can find. This Website is our latest contribution to the ever growing, re-discovery of blacksmithing.
